Shopping ...

Kavyaa was cribbing for a long time that Varun did not take her out for shopping for a very long time, she was telling him that "I wish I could have born as a laptop, you would have spent more time with me", and there came a ligtening reply Varun saying, "Ya even I would wish too, so that I can change one every 2 years", Kavya was heard telling, "I just placed my slippers somewhere here ...". So it was a mutual agreement that Varun would take Kavya out for shopping today evening...

Kavya was busy taking stock of her wardrobe and was noting down a big list of items she needs to get and Varun was making fun of her saying, "It would be better if you first take a stock of my bank balance and then do the rest". The time came to step out and Kavya was jubilant that she is going out for shopping with her hubby after a long time and as expected Varun was not so keen in shopping and that too during weekends. He is sick of driving even on a weekend, he knows how mad Bangalore traffic would be over the weekends, he used to kid by saying "Why the hell robbers need to strain themselves to come in the night for robbery ? they can very well come over a weekend evening where the entire bangalore population will be on roads and hence all houses will be empty".

They somehow managed to reach the FORUM mall and Kavya headed straight into "Westside" which is her favourite shopping destination. Kavya started with formal trousers and then moved on the casual dressing and finally finished with ethinc wear, Why ethinic wear ? asked Varun and she said that "Ethinic Day" is fast approching at her office, Varun was cursing the fellow who started this "Ethinic Day" concept, and the reason for that is very obvious as one of her ethinic wear was Rs 8000. Kavya is a person who never belives anything on the first say, Varun used to pull her legs saying "She still does not believe that Gandhi Ji is dead, she has her own doubts over history books", so its obvious that Kavya does not turst the size tags that were attached to each clothing, so she decided to wear all those one by one.

Varun was actually fearing for this moment but it is something that has to happen, so it has happened, the reason being, Varun does not like waiting, but he knows he has no choice other than waiting. Varun was asked to stand next to the dressing room cabins, Kavya comforted him saying that, there are so many husband's who does this for their wives and hence there is nothing wrong. Varun reluctantly accepted to do the job, and as per "Westside" policy, the customer should not carry more than 2 clothing at a time inside the change room, so Varun is the next obvious choice for playing the role of a hanger, where will you see such a hanger which gives you the clothes automatically when you need it ? and also tells you comments on how the new dress look on you. Kavya went inside one of the changing rooms and locked it from inside.

Varun not knowing what to do till such time, decided to call his friends and he started walking across the changing rooms and chatting with them, he knows that it will take atleast a minimum of 15 minutes for Kavya to come out, unfortunately his friend has to hung up within five minutes and Varun waited outside the waiting room paitently, and atlast came the voice, "Hey can you come inside to check if this suits me, also i need your help in tightening this hook at the back", Varun sleepishly said, "Hey everything will be fine yaar, you just chk if you like it", but the voice was so insistent that Varun has to go inside, he was about to peep in to the changing room, and there came Kavya's voice from the back, "Hey Varun, does this suits me" ?, then only he realized that he missed the room where Kavya went in, while walking across the changing rooms during his call.

2021 - A Recap

I am just relieved to see off 2021, what a traumatic year this had been for our planet, the wave of Covid that hit many countries, especially India was just too much to handle, the lives lost due to this is shitty disease has left a bad taste in all our minds, no words are enough to console the near and dear one's who have lost their loved one. When we were all set to give a sigh of relief, there came this new variant called "Omicron" which has been more transmittive and more infectious than the previous variant of this virus, this has put brakes on my trip to India this December and that means I could not do sraardham for my mom for the second consecutive year. This year we made an unplanned sudden trip to India during September-October as V's dad was cricitally ill and was admitted in the hospital in a very critical state, we all thought that he is not going to make it out, but god had other plans, he came home and is now doing fine and safe. Now if I think back,
